The referee of the game, who handles all interactions and determines the location of the Gateway.
Closer
A Player whose objective is to keep the Gateway closed.
Death of the Moon
The night that the moon is new, the 17th of October.
Divination
The use of magic to discover the answer to a question.
Familiar
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.
Game, The
The interaction between Players that takes place from October 1st to Halloween. The Game is one with many “unwritten rules” of etiquette.
Gateway
The doorway in which the Elder Gods can gain entrance into this world. The Gateway can only be opened on a Halloween with a full moon. Its location is determined from the residences of the Players.
Non-Player
A person involved in the Game who is not an Opener or a Closer.
Opener
A Player whose objective is to open the Gateway for the Elder Gods.
Player
A person involved in the Game whose objective is to either open or keep closed the Gateway.
Residence
The place where a Player is staying during the month of October, used to determine the location of the Gateway. A Player may have more than one residence.
Structure of Power
A collection of items that is used to assist a Player in his objective.
